Kotoka Izumi is a freelance illustrator born in Tokyo to Chinese and Japanese parents. She started her career in 2015, but has been drawing since she was a small child, and is fully self-taught. She draws people using fine lines, creating an air of ephemerality with a certain element of seediness. Kotoka’s illustrations have had graced her own brand design, collaborations with fashion labels, magazine and magazine supplements, CD jackets and movie marketing campaigns.
