BABY-G's "Tough and Cool" outlook
At the end of April, the California surfing brand ROXY sponsored an event named #ROXY FITNESS Run Sup Yoga at the Sheraton Okinawa Sun Marina Resort. This event played host some 180 women from all over the world who gathered to enjoy running, stand up paddle surfing, and yoga fun on the beach. And BABY-G was there too!
The event started out in a raging tempest, and a quick change in schedule first had participants stand up paddle surfing.
The active girls who took part really showed their stuff! They faced the rain and wind like it was no big deal, and all of the participants who hit the ocean had smiles on their faces.
Next was the running event. At this point the weather started to improve and everyone's enthusiasm reached its peak!
Participants could choose either once around the course for a 1.3-kilometer fun run, or three laps for the 4-kilometer challenge run.
The first place finisher of the challenge run was the youngest of the participants, who also won the event for the second year in a row! Right after she made it to the goal, she was greeted with an unexpected hug from MC Ritsuko Tanaka. Subsequent participants exchanged high fives has they crossed the goal for a really festive atmosphere. Of course, runners sported BABY-G For Running Series watches during the race.♡
The final activity on the schedule was beach yoga. Four famous lecturers conducted the activity in relay format. MC Ritsuko Tanaka also served as one of the lecturers as well.
She instantly went from being an energetic MC to a yoga practitioner controlling her breath as she listened to the sounds of the ocean and breeze. Practicing yoga while embracing nature takes the experience to a whole new level! At the end, participants tried active poses, which served to warm them up and further regulate their breathing.
The event's BABY-G booth conducted a SNS campaign where everyone was a winner.
Many thanks to all who participated.♡
All BABY-G models are water resistant and shock resistant, making them perfect choices for beach activities!
